That Everett Scott is a beauty! I teach 2nd grade in Auburn, Indiana and his niece teaches 3rd grade in the room next to mine. She is always telling me stories about her "Uncle Everett". He was from Bluffton, Indiana and lived in Fort Wayne after his playing career with the Red Sox and Yankees. He owned and operated a bowling alley which an elderly friend of mine tells me he used to set pins for him. He was on a bunch of World Series Winners and was the "Iron Man" of baseball before Gehrig and Ripken Jr came along.

Slightly OT - but I have a great 1914 scan of Everett Scott newly identified from the Libary of Congress Harris & Ewing collection that his niece likely has not seen. If you're interested in passing it on to her email me.

Tim,
Thanks for the kind words on the Scott card and thanks for the history information on Scott. My card now has a little inside history to go along with it. I appreciate it and it seems Everett was a winner during his era of playing.

Nice pickups Dave and Jeff - that was a nice group of Worchs. I picked up the Ott tonight and an O'Doul a couple weeks ago...49 down and about a hundred to go!

So, stopped by local shop today and picked this up for fairly cheap...nicest one I have ever seen much less owned. No creases, super sharp, great color...I love this card!

Nice pick up. That is probably in better condition than 99% of the t205's in existence...The centering is what makes it special, to me.

Thank you all for your comments...It is by far one of the nicest t205s I own. I also bought it for a fraction of what they are going for nowadays so I am very pleased. I also added two other t205s that were nearly as nice and almost pulled the trigger on a a Joss that was just beautiful but did not have the money for that one. The collection that I looked over was super sharp and contained some cards that made the recent Mile High cards look bad (seriously...some blazers that will come to market in the next few months).

I love this set.
