The grade is for the condition of the ball and the strength of the signature (how clear, bold, etc) it is. However, an autograph is worth significantly more if it is on an official ball. It still has some value if on an unofficial ball, but my guess would be 15-20% of that if it was an official ball. (Take in mind that player matters, too, from a value standpoint...) |
