1916 M101-4 Set on ebay

I just listed nearly all (200) cards from the M101-4 baseball card set, primarily in clean average VGEX condition. I listed card numbers 1-100 ending on one day, and numbers 101-200 ending the day after. I kept a few cards out for grading, but almost the entire set in on there as of right now including the Cobb, Wagner, etc... All are Guaranteed Authentic!

Rhys, the scans seem to have "scanner dots" on them. That is from the scanner, not on the card, right?

Yes, it is 100% from my scanner and this pattern is NOT on the cards themselves. These are all Guaranteed Authentic forever.

kauff wasn't jewish. it's a myth i hate to see perpetuated. people spread rumors about kauff being jewish during his playing days just like people spread rumors about ruth being part black- as an insult. he was not, and was never of the hebrew faith. youre current high bidder is a predominant buyer of jewish sports memorabilia. he should probably know better but he may be unhappy to find the player was misrepresented

I revised the item description. I had always heard he was jewish, not that he was a practicing orthodox Jew, but that he was of Jewish Descent. I would never try to use something like that as an "angle" to make a dollar and you have my permission to e mail the high bidder if you desire. I always just thought it was a note of interest.

I am Mormon and collect items of both Dennis Eckersley and Harmon Killebrew. These are both Mormons by virtue of their LDS baptism but neither has ever been a practicing member of the LDS faith. I always was under the impression that Kauff was in a similar boat.

I still do not really know if it is the Jewsish descent, or the fact that they were practincg Jews that makes a particular ballplayer collectible and perhaps you can fill me in on that.

I menat nothing by the statement and have already made the changes to the auction.

Sorry for perpetuating the myth.

believe me, i would never fault you for appealing to jewish bidders for sales. kauff just strikes a nerve with me- it's been almost a century and it's still being repeated. it's something that began as an intended slur that's slowly grown into fact.
