Default Vintage Hold'em Tonight

Posted By: Lyman

Old Cardboard fared better than ever in last nights Hold'em tournament. The entire OC staff (both of us) finished in the top three.

In a repeat of last month's event, Brett and Steve Murray battled it out as the final two in heads-up play. In March, Steve won; this time Brett got his revenge. Is this the beginning of a long-standing feud? happy.gif Congratulations to both.

Mike, sorry you missed the tournament by 2 minutes. As Andrew suggests, the best way to avoid this is to register well in advance and then join in after the tourney begins. Brett has done this several times and it works fine. Blinds start small and increase slowly, so there is little penalty for being even 20-30 minutes late. In my case, it would probably be an advantage. happy.gif

Trophy points earned last night are as follows:

Brett Hardeman (7)
Steve Murray (5)
Lyman Hardeman (3)
Rawn Hill (2)
Martin Neal (1)

Details are posted and can be viewed at http://www.oldcardboard.com/misc/poker/2009/2009-poker.asp

Tournament #5 will be held May 26. It is PokerStars #159572299; password for registration is pc760rose.

Thanks to all for playing; it was great fun. Will see you at the tables next month.

Best of luck to all,
Lyman
