Matt, very cool project, and thanks for sharing the photo - I don't recall seeing it before.
1) May I comment on the photo? I would like to share a hypothesis that I am formulating, and it is still in its embryonic stages: extremely talented (HOFer) baseball players ahve incredibly large heads! - check out WaJo, and Lajoie is downright comical!!! 2) If you picked up any offgrade Cubs dupes in that lot, I would be interested in a few, maybe...congrats on the win. 3) very cool project, byt he way, please share the photo of the finished framed piece when its done

That's an awesome panoramic picture. Is that Cobb in a Cleveland uniform towards the right side of the picture? This is a cool project. Are you using the T205 Joss card in the display?

I've spoken with the framer about how best to incorporate the T205 Joss - I didn't want it in the frame because then you wouldn't be able to see the back. I think what we're going to do is have a little holster on the edge of the frame which the T205 can sit in (in its SGC case), but also be removed and looked at. Once I get the lot from Legendary I'll take everything to him and from that point, I don't know how long he wants. I'll certainly post pics when it's all done. Hey Matt - sorry if I missed it, but were you ever able to finish this project?
I came across the 1911 group photo today in Kansas City. I've long been fascinated by the story of this game and remembered your post from several years ago. Would love to see it if you were able to get it done! |

Matt,
Awesome and congrats! I did not realize the Falkie from the M116 set was the last card you needed for the project. It all makes sense now and I was happy to partner with you on the winning lot. I cannot wait to see the finished display. Regards, Michael |
