Default 1 New Pickup

Absolutely the right way to go. You can always catch up to where you last left off. A lot more cards will get seen this way.

Default Jon etal......number of posts viewable in threads...

Please remember that you can change the number of posts that you see in a thread, via your user control panel (user cp) to any amount up to 40. I have mine set at 40, changed from the default of 10, and it helped me a lot......thanks for the feedback so far....

Thanks for pointing that out, Leon. I actually forgot that. However, I think this also helps make my point. If certain members do not like to scroll through 40 posts of pick-ups per page, they can simply change the default back down to 10. I think having monthly pick-ups all listed in the same thread is the best way to go. Less clutter that way, too!

I agree. One pickup thread a month.

Definitely set your posts per page default to 40. Makes life a lot easier.

My only complaint, well maybe two: I sure miss the page down feature and second not enough smilies.

EDIT: I do however see a tab for "View First Unread". That, in effect, has a page down function.

Default Scrolling

There isn't a need to scroll through all of the old threads. You can set this up so the newest threads are on top.

Default I gotta question

...if someone goes back and edits an old post, will it show up as a new "blue arrow down"? I assume not.

Default T206Collector

I don't think an edit makes a post into a "new" blue highlighted post. (not sure if that was your question) It will always show an edit by anyone and a deleted post will always show a "deleted post" wording...and who deleted it. Hope this helps.

Default I agree as well...

1 Pickup Thread per month seems like the best idea.

I like seeing all the cards together whether it be the first half of the month or the second half... Will be easier to go back as well to only look at 12 Threads for the year to see the pickups for that month. Good idea, better way to track the progress of our collecting.

You could even start archiving each thread, May Pick Up Thread, June Pick up Thread, etc...

I think it would be cool to go back over the years and review what folks were picking up, etc...

2 cents -
