The photo was an Ebay win from Canada. The shield reads Ottawa city championship. Canadian club I will assume. Really liked the look, (The crossed bats, figure 8 looking balls, collared unis with collars up) but glass broke in shipping.

Ricky, very nice poster. The most notable figure there is really Foran, who was quite the mover-and-shaker throughout a long career in, actually, hockey -- longtime Stanley Cup trustee, president of the FAHL, &c'. Normally we disdain the ridiculous MMPORG known as Wikipedia, but occasionally some information there is accurate, including, conveniently, this bio of Foran:

RickBullDog, So it's Candian, I wasn't expecting that. That reminds me of another great Candian football photo a buddy of mine had...it was even more spectaular I thought, he sold it at the 06' National in Anaheim for around $500.00, see below. Butch, Good to know all that on Foran.

It is a small world. I have that exact photo in my office that I purchased recently. I'll have to compare the frame tomorrow. It is the most incredible football photo I have seen. I don't think my vendor bought it at the National--he is a small store antiques dealer, so there are at least 2 copies. And since I'm not really a football collector, mine is available for trade or sale (sadly, I was the underbidder on the Ottawa City league photo) Max And Ricky, I'll get you the dimensions of the photo--it is quite large Last edited by baseballart; 05-20-2009 at 10:46 PM. I've checked the frame on my photo, and it is the original frame, with a wood inset mat. Definitely different than the one first pictured here.
The frame is about 23" x 28", with the photo 13" x 21". I'll try and get a good photo, when I remember to lug my good camera to work and figure out how to take photos of photos under glass. Edited to add photo. The photo was taken with my blackberry camera, so it makes the photo look black and white, when it is more sepia. It is truly an incredible photo, ![]() Max Last edited by baseballart; 05-21-2009 at 08:36 AM. Reason: added photo |

Wow Max that's wild. Ricky, Darn if I didn't record the dimensions since it was in our own booth...However, YOu can get a feel for the size in a couple of photos I took of our booth there at the 06' National, see this link below and photo. I'd guess it was about 30" wide. Go to the bottom of the page in the link and you'll see mine and John Buonaguidi's booth..you can see the framed photo in a couple of the shots I took
