Looks fine to me. The "3D affect" is simply due to the Yellow background being slightly out of register.
Consider this, would you go to the trouble of faking this card with a flawed Piedmont back ? No, you would select a clean back. Incidently, I don't think these images are from a scanner. The clear image of the card with the fuzzy ruler is indicative of a photo image that was inputted from a CD. TED Z
