Encapsulated Cobb green background portrait with Howe McCormick's stamp on the Piedmont back. Graded as a 2 because of the stamp, would otherwise be a strong 4 if not a 5. The Cobb greens are beautiful anyway, and this one fits my niche.

Ditto! Except the back would not matter to me. Blank, Sporting News etc....any of those would be okay

The borders on this Ruth RC are so wide. In the right hands, this is certainly a candidate for a much higher grade. |

Unreal T205 Matty, JimB. Whoever owns that Cobb signed T202 . . . WOW!
It is near impossible to say which is my favorite card. I have half-a-dozen in my collection that could be so designated and some of the cards I have seen posted on the Board or by the various auctions are pretty great, too. Just one? The winner by a whisker . . .

It's not a prewar card, but this has always been my favorite (I do currently own this one):

David..... That probably is my favorite in your collection. And it is tough to pick a favorite out of your collection (too many awesome cards to choose from)!

The favorite card in my collection is also a Matty...1912 RPPC. The scans don't do it justice.
![]() By the way Joe D., you should post your Astoria Giants. That is one postcard I have always enjoyed viewing. It is truly a cornerstone piece. Where did you pick it up? Mike |

Mike -
Your Matty postcard is incredible. I am sure, as you say, it looks even better in person. Beautiful. Here is the Astoria Giants card. It is my favorite card in my collection, and is probably my favorite in the hobby. But, whenever I reply to threads that ask about favorites - - - I usually exclude the Astoria card (otherwise it would be the only card I post )![]()
