Boy Al... those are fantastic pins! Man oh Man, would I love to get my hands on one of those "61 in 61" pins to go with my 1961 Maris Collection!

Despite being a die-hard Red Sox fan I've managed to tolerate this one in my collection for a while. I'm also the proud owner of a 1960 Topps Mantle that was locked inside an old tackle box for a number of years. Thanks to age and moisture it is now essentially adhered to the "protective" screwdown it was encased in. Can't find a scan of it though, which is probably for the better... it's really quite sad looking.

Default Mantle

The hardest one of all the Mantle PM10s that I had to find (in nice condition) was the Yellow back ground one at the bottom. I believe in 1 3/4 size this is all the Mantles there are that arenot repro or fake.

Default The Mantle That Never Was

When I won this from a top end auction house last year I was pumped because I was going to have this framed with a really awsome pic of the Mick and what a conversation piece it would be.

I took it to get it authenticated at last year's National in Chicago and was heartbroken when it came back as unauthentic. I was given a refund right away from the auction house but this is one item that I really wanted.

At least the auction house didn't give you that answer!

Wow! I was the underbidder on that piece. It certainly would have been a great piece to display. Glad you got your money back.

Best, Jimmy

Default I really like this Mantle piece...

A True one-of-a-kind from the Topps Vault. 1958 TOPPS Transparency that was used by TOPPS to make card #418 "World Series Batting Foes" Featuring Hank Aaron & Mickey Mantle. A Top 250 Sportscard.

Hey guys, first time in. Did they give you a reason why they thought this mantle was no good. I wouldnt take either of those companies as the final word. I'm curious whether Jodi or Richard have an opinion on this. I would say it's good.
