Not all that exotic, but I always liked the T206 Chase w/loving cup...it's a lot like the Ruth with Bird card, but not quite so "out there." I have one. Will probably upgrade it at some point.

My two favorite cards aren't anything spectacular from a price perspective, but visually to me they are fantastic.

My favorite pre-war card is the T-206 Ed Walsh. I used to own a PSA 7, and I sure miss it. What a beautiful card! I guess I better skip post-war, but I wish there were more post-war questions as those you people have.

I'll chime in with either the 1869 Peck and Snyder Red Stockings or the 1863 Jordan and Co. cricket match ticket of Harry Wright (perhaps the "first" baseball card)?
I really dig the ancient stuff!P.S. Matt, I'm pretty green with envy over that Charleston! Last edited by triwak; 09-03-2009 at 12:47 PM. |

Bruce owns the two on the left, but the two on the right are owned by Bruce. |

Cool thread.
![]() The card I don't own that I like the most is the T202 Cobb. I'd love to own even a beat up copy of that beauty. This one I do own, not on par with what some of you guys own, but one I'm thrilled to have in my small collection.

I humbly apologize that it is not baseball. However, in keeping with the spirit of the forum, it is pre-war....

Why is it that I think the next time I go swimming in the sea of mediocrity, Jim will be the lifeguard?

I'm surprised no one has shown a card of one of the great characters of the pre-war era. Mr. Waddell's portraits will forever have a place among my favorite poses.
