One other thing...
Start all auctions at $0.99. None of the garbage of "starting bid of $99.99" for a $100 card. Uphill battle, most definitely. I see the key is marketing/advertising (when isn't it). Google "baseball card auction" and Ebay isn't on the front page. You'll probably have to do a lot of hyper local advertising along with national trade publications. Would a good "official" launch day be at the National next year? Especially after ESPN covered the event this year. |
