Here's a '63 "mini" Aaron PRO 10....sold for $58 a couple of days ago.
What would a PSA-10 or SGC-98 '63 Aaron fetch? |

What would a PSA-10 or SGC-98 '63 Aaron fetch? According to VCP around $1500 on average for 9+ from SGC and PSA. What a deal on that HUH

Only bought one Pro graded card off eBay of a 1915 Cracker Jack Branch Rickey. It was graded EX-Mint by Pro. Not even close. It was trimmed and had some notching along the right border. I put back up on eBay noting the flaws and took a dead loss on the card.

Buy the card and Not the holder. It makes sense; after all you do get a major discount with PRO

Hard to figure out what this company is all about. It's as if they got it wrong almost every time. Did they actually know that each of those high grade cards they slabbed was trimmed?

I've had a couple (PRO Cards), both crossed-over to SGC and both took a two grade hit - good news is they graded (as opposed to trimmed/altered).

Some years back someone on this forum conducted a test by sending in a sampling of cards (10 cards I think) to PRO, most of which had been low-graded or rejected by the - shall we say - more mainstream TPGs. Maybe someone remembers who that was and the thread could be retrieved from the archives. Needless to say, the results bore out everything we've found to be true of PRO.
I guess if you really want a "mint card," PRO's the way to go. |

Bought a '68 Topps Game Pete Rose PRO 6 about 6-7 years ago. Just cracked it out and sent it to PSA... it came back a 6!

Many, many years ago. Bought two great looking T206s. The good news was that they were authentic, the bad news was that they were trimmed.
