Yeah… I made a homophobic thread years ago and I think it’s was called (What’s the Gayest looking prewar baseball card)… D304 Fred Markle was my pick!

I thought it would’ve been a funny thread but I quickly realizes there’s a lot of homosexuals on the board who were offended and for that I am truly SORRY. I meant no harm and quickly realizes a WAR was brewing (DAMN!).. Living in Vancouver B.C. the San Francisco of the North West I should of known better!!! I have no problems with anyone here on the board and sexual orientation should be the last thing on peoples mind same with race. It just doesn’t matter!

The thread I post years ago would be like a red neck posting who’s the blackest ball player in baseball (((Frank Thomas))). I guess most black people or mixed have tough skin and it takes a lot to offend. My motto is if there's not a brick through the windows everything is fine (SLAM)!

I didn’t know how to spell very well 3years ago due to a reading disability that’s why I posted YouTube clips in my defense. Now that have improve and able to write my thoughts in detail. Believe me I’m not a raciest or a homophob, just a guy how made a misstep in the wrong place!

Default You Can't Make This Stuff Up!

I have been reading this thread with a mix of emotions, but Brad's last post made me laugh out loud.

Default homophones?

A double yikes on the homophones issue. I guess "not that there is anything wrong with a homophone". I am sure they have been called worse. I used to be a waiter, before my IT days, and we had lots of homophones working there......They were usually easy to get along with....Actually, I have some good friends that are homophones....

Brad- you ought to hang around....everyone gets ragged on every now and then. But if you decide to go you are always welcome back whenever you want to....take care

btw, this sort of reminds me of the ole Gilda Radner (RIP) skits...............bitch

My favorite Frank Thomas story... (apologies to Al C. who heard this one last week.)

In 1962 the NY Mets had the worst team in the history of baseball, but they had a HOF centerfielder in Richie Ashburn. Several times, early in the season, Ashburn had been run over by shortstop Elio Chacon, while chasing pop-ups. After one bruising collision, he went to the coaches. He was told that Chacon spoke no English, so instead of yelling "I got it!", he should yell "Yo la tengo!"

Ashburn called a players meeting, with translators, and they agreed to this change.

Next game, along comes a pop-up. Asbburn comes charging in yelling "Yo la tengo! Yo la tengo!" Out of the corner of his eye he sees Chacon slam on the brakes. He reaches for the pop and gets steam-rollered by left fielder Frank Thomas. Thomas spoke no Spanish and... had skipped the players meeting. Ball drops. Batter is on second. Runners have scored.

As he helps Ashburn to his feet, Thomas says to him, "What the hell is a yellow tango?"

I will look at my Frank Thomas cards in a little different light now thanks to that story.

Sounds like the Jews/Bankers are out to get you. First 9/11 and now this. What will they think of next?

Does anyone know what a homophone is? Clue, it has nothing to do with being a homophobe.
