Probably would have done better if the seller included the words "Heubach" and "Statue" in the title, as those are two key words that were left out.
I search for these things all the time, and missed this one as well. I also search "vintage baseball" and "antique baseball" a lot, and neither of those phrases would have brought up this listing. This could have sold for nearly double what it did... although it was hard to determine the severity of the paint marks on the top of the cap (which weren't pictured very clearly).
