I'm not sure there is a clear cut answer to your question. It would be more like what is the best price you can get on a certain card. I don't know that anything is going to skyrocket like items Frank mentioned, stocks, real estate, ect. But if you make a list of 10-25 high demand cards and get one of them for a great price you will atleast not lose money. The really high demand cards seem to be T206 and Mickey Mantle, but everyone seems to have a certain cap on what they will pay. The other stuff that goes for big money is so rare that you either have had it for years or pay a fortune for it to start with. Unless you get lucky and happen upon a find, or someone with a nice collection who needs to sell low asap for cash, finding a card to invest is just a crapshoot.
