I've been to the Murfreesboro show many times. Lots and lots of the new shiny stuff but there is a mix of vintage sometimes. If you're into the 50's-60's there is usually a couple guys there that have plenty. One guy for sure does. He's from Kentucky and sets up at the show a few times a year. Great and vast selsetion of HOFers from 50s-70s and commons, hi numbers, etc in baseball and football, Topps and Bowman and has vintage basketball from time to time. Like stated above, it is a hit miss show. I have found a few goodies----T200 Phila NL and T200 Cleveland....bought both for $200....T206s, Goudeys and Play Ball cards pop up there occasionally...so if you dig, you may find something. Also, Dick DeCoursey sets up there a couple times a year.

Default Birmingham Shops

The best shop in the Birmingham area is Dougs Coin shop in Homewood. It is on 280 just off 459. He has been in the card business for over 20 years and has a lot of 50's-80's. You should call before going to make sure Doug will be at the shop. The only card shows in Birmingham are small weekend shows at the Galleria. The last one I can remember was over 5 years ago. On another note the Tennessee State Fair grounds in Nashville has a monthly flea market which has about 5-6 dealers that carry a small amount of vintage.

Good Luck
Kirk

If Uncle Dick is at a show, most pre-1970 card collectors will have a good selection and prices to choose from. He is one of my favorite people in this business and really helped us a lot when I was at Beckett.

I attend the show in Murfreesboro now and again (most recently in August) and am generally not impressed. It used to be a decent show I suppose, but it has gone downhill, in my opinion.
