Yes, That's true for the puzzles too, as well as a lot of the mid 70's smaller topps sets like hockey, team checklists etc.
I have a theory that it marks which half of the double sheets the cards were from. On the puzzles, one of the varieties seems a bit tougher than another, but my sampling is only about 500 cards. Steve |
