My practical advice would be to mentally separate BCCG from BVG/BGS, and leave it at that. It's like Coke and diet Coke-- they both have Coke in the name but are different things. There's no practical gain in fretting over why the two Cokes taste so different. They just do.

I agree that you're Coke examples are better. Some here might have gone as far as suggesting I use another Coca Cola product, Tab, and its 'Has Been Shown to Cause Cancer in Lab Mice' disclaimer.
If you want my candid opinion on the matter, I'm not a fan of BCCG, but I'm unaware that the grading is wrong (most of the complaints really boil down to the grading being different, which is an issue separate from accuracy), the grade is clearly spelled out on the label and I, or one, have no trouble differenciating between a BCCG and a BVG/BGS graded card. BVG is fine for their grading...aesthetically I don't like their holders...I rate them behind SGC, PSA and GAI in regards to that aspect.

I have about 4 T206 cards graded BVG,and I feel the grades given seem right on the money.I also think Beckett needs to do away with the BCCG service completely. As you can see,it causes too much confusion, and does seem to mislead new collectors.
So why have it? Just use the other two,BVG and BGS-who buys cards on the Home Shopping Network anyways??I didn't even know they sold cards on there?

I have no issues with BVG from a grading point of view, however, there is a difference in public opinion/perception regarding BVG. The same card in a BVG slab usually will sell for less than the same card in a PSA/SGC holder. Obviously this shouldn't be the case, but perception really is reality most of the time.

I just don't find BVG holders appealing to look at.
