IMO... these two players peak value was fantastic and I think that because both their careers were cut short, they are better candidates then players that had five great years, only to go along with fifteen mediocre ones. I don't get it. If you're fortunate and don't get hurt, you are to be rewarded for that? But if injury ended your career, especially if the injury isn't something that can be seen, like Campanella, or untimely death, like Joss and Puckett, then you have little or no chance at getting elected.
