Here's a relatively scarce Lacrosse issue of Ed "Newsy" Lalonde, who was one of Canada's greatest and toughest athletes of the era. He is generally acknowledged to be the greatest Lacrosse player ever. But he is likely remembered better nowadays as a top tier Hockey Hall-of-Famer (he was Laviolette's team-mate on the early Montreal teams):
