They all look trimmed to me. The only one I would want to take a closer look at for the possibility of not being trimmed is Pelty. If it is not trimmed, I would give it a 40/3

I agree in that most if not all look trimmed...let the pigeons loose...spill the beans already...then you can keep the book!

Default Thanks for playing..

The people have spoken. Time's up! Some background. I bought a lot of approx. 15 St. Louis T206's about 12 years ago from an auction listed in SCD. Claimed grades were vg-ex/mt. This was before scanned images were a near-requirement.The 5 St. Louis cards here were part of that lot. The Abstein came from a dealer (now net 54 board member) about the same time period (late 90's). When I sent these in with about 15 other T206's I expected a few more TRM'ed. A couple of you got close.

Jones- 60
Lake- 50
Pelty- 50
Abstein- 50
Criss- TRM (no slab)
Dineen- 60

I learned a little about third party grading, hope you did too. If anyone wants the book, let me know. (postage on you). Thanks for playing!!

For those who are big SGC fans, note that they were overly generous grading this lot! Maybe SGC suffers from the same inconsistency problem as PSA.

The Criss is obviously short, the others all looked good to me.

Couple even have diamond cuts, why would someone trim a card and do that??

In the early days of grading, I saw a lot of these. Some dealers thought they could hide one bad corner, and get a high grade by simulating the diamond cut. PSA often rejects these now if the borders aren't parallel.
