I fear the Padres "smoke and mirrors" show is over, but maybe San Diego can sneak back into first.

If the Padres can get into the playoffs, I hope a "different" team can win...Cincinnati, Texas, Minnesota.

Philadelphia scares me. They haven't played well all year and have been banged up a lot and are still in first place!

Rooting for a repeat of the 1962 World Series. Maybe they'll even give Willie McCovey a do-over.

I'm hoping for the Twins, They're my de-facto contender team as a Cubs fan.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Rays do it though. I get this feeling that it's now or never for them.

I'm hoping the Reds win it all after 9 straight losing seasons (that and I live here ), but I just don't think they have the starting pitching to match up in a playoff series with the other teams.

Since the Cardinals have completely forgotten what winning is I guess I'll pull for Reds, at least they have two ex-Cardinals on the team.
