Not Clemente's rookie - nice book though!
Hi,
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Clemente played for the Montreal Royals (Brooklyn's farm team) in 1954 and was "stolen" by the Pirates to play in the Majors in 1955. He started playing winter league ball in Puerto Rico in 1951. Now that the facts are on the table, the scorebook you picked up is pretty nice and for sure uncommon.
