| E 107

Man, add me to the list that never saw that recent ebay listing. 300.00 for an E 107 in that shape, ouch, listed properly I`m guessing double that minimum.

I did see it. Unfortunately, I was the very disappointed underbidder. The seller had a couple of ungraded T206's for sale. I sent him a message asking about combined shipping. He replied that the shipping cost was the same no matter how many cards I bought. So I clicked on "All Items For Sale" under his profile page and I saw the E107. I thought I knew what it was, but I wasn't really sure at first as I don't know much about the set at all. So I went to OldCardboard.com for verification. Yep...that's what I thought it was! By now there was only a couple of minutes left in the auction so I didn't have time to do any more research. All I could think of was a post by a board member saying that he hoped to have "one" example some day. I knew they were rare, but had no idea of value. I checked my Paypal account to see how much money I had in it. $300. I put a last second bid down for $300 and lost. It really sucked, but I got over it.....until this stupid thread came up.

E107s are easily one of the toughest caramel sets. It has been commented elsewhere that nobody has ever put together a complete set of them... though a couple are close. To me, that speaks volumes. I did not see that Hickman or I would've picked it up personally. I regularly search for E107s, but missed that one. There is an E107 Hall of Famer listed in the upcoming Heritage Auction. http://sports.ha.com/common/view_ite...8&Lot_No=80033 (Full disclosure... I consigned it to them.) |

Not to worry, everyone will get a chance to bid on it again. It will be in an SGC holder in our next B&L Auction in February. I just received it from the winning ebay bidder/consignor this morning. Scott |

| E107/Heritage

I guess this is as good a place to ask as any. If anybody is bidding on the lot of 12 in the current Heritage Auction, I am interested in the Selbach.
