Default Thanks guys,

Since we're on the subject:
When you want to cross a card over to another grading company, do you send it in the other company's holder, or crack it out? If I were to send this card into SGC in the PSA slab, do you think SGC would be more likely to give it a qualifier just because PSA did?

SGC doesn't give qualifiers, and I usually leave the card in the holder.

If you've cracked it out already, it can't be submitted as a crossover -- the second TPG has no proof that it's the same card that the first TPG had graded. Also, when you submit for crossover, you can specify a minimum grade that you'll accept for the crossover -- if the second TPG doesn't feel it merits that grade then they won't crack it out of the first TPG's holder. (that's for PSA at least, I haven't looked into SGC policies for crossover.)

And as someone else mentioned, SGC doesn't use qualifiers -- they just knock down the overall grade, sometimes significantly.

I recently picked up a boatload of 1933 Goudeys including #198 Irving Burns.

I have seen plenty of 33 Goudey cards that have significant bleeding through the back, but nothing like this one...is there something more to this card?

Thanks - Rob

Jim, congrats on some beautiful OJs, are you collecting a Western Association subset? If not, that would be a great start.

Jeremy, nice Werrick, I like the jersey modification/update to St. Paul. What subset does this complete for you?

Rhett, great card and congrats. Your tireless efforts no doubt helped you land that card.

Joe- Just emailed you... This is a OJ type Nashville subset representing players that played in Nashville in 1885 and 1886 and later played for teams represented in the OJ set from 1887-1890.
