I never throw away cards...there is a large market for lesser condition cards pre-1980 and a very large market for beater cards pre-war. Post 1980 cards, if the cards are poor, I tend to give them away to kids in my school. They love owning cards from before they were born (and in some cases now, before their parents were born!). Nothing is worthless when it comes to cards and memories.
