A HUGE "Thank You" goes out to Jay Wolt of Quality Cards for making this terrific Bill Dickey/Christy Walsh All American piece available to me. An absolute flawless transaction with this top-notch seller. Jay is one of the best the hobby has to offer.

Thanks again Jay and my very best regards, Jimmy

Default 1941 game used ball

This Harridge baseball was fouled off by Al Brancato of the Athletics on July 10, 1941. Further research shows that the opposing pitcher in that game was Bob Feller. He went the distance for his 99th career win. He won his 100th on his next start 4 days later.

How cool is it to hold that ball and to know that Bob Feller held it on a major league mound in 1941?

Jimmy, just checked in on this thread and I'm glad you like the Bill Dickey piece.
I had no room to display it and having it in a closet wasn't right so I'm glad its now in good hands.
Took me half the night to find a proper box and to package it securely for its coast to coast travel & happy it reached you unharmed.

I just got this guy in the mail:

Here we have Rose hitting his 4,192nd hit, becoming MLB's all-time leader. Don't know if it's a Type 1 or not (not that it matters), but there is a more modern slug and UPI stamp on the back - if that means anything to anyone, that is.

Either way, I thought it could be a nice image for a painting!
