Fantastic pieces, everyone! It's always fun to browse
through one of these threads. I'll offer up another T206 portrait, and an E92. I've always liked Matty's T206 portrait, and how the fiery, orangish-red background contrasted against his calm, gentlemanly demeanor. It's one of the nicest looking portraits in the entire set (perhaps only trumped by the Johnson). I'm completely content with my low grade example, as it's crease-free and presents well for a VG card. The classic horizontal pose found on the e92 (and other E card sets) is one of the finest examples of color lithography ever applied to a baseball card. ![]()
