It's real, it's just a misprint in the title. That's Leo Gehrig's signature, not Lou's. Probably just an honest mistake.
 Leo shined shoes in New York during the 40's.  Ruth used to tease him all the time about his name, but always left him a big tip.That's him in the cap.
