I was lucky to pick up 11 of them when they ALL showed on eBay about 6-7 years back. Many of them picked up while there still was a debate as to whether they were authentic or not.

At one time I had roughly 1/7th of all the Herps out there

Somewhere I even have a list with prices realized for each of the cards.

The first couple weeks (original seller sold them a few per week) the cards went for as low as $50 ea. but by the end (when everyone knew they were authentic) they jumped a bit and were selling for 2-4X that.

PS. The Ruth was last one sold and it brought $7,777, and Cobb brought $1,526

Default Herpolsheimer Co.

I have the "Kid" Gleason. I think it also came from Frank (but not sure). Maybe Frank remembers.

Default Ping Bodie actually ...

never played for Washington. He was the Babe's first roommate in N.Y., and when asked what it was like to room with the Babe, he supposedly responded that it was "like rooming with a suitcase!" Can anyone kindly point me to the whereabouts of the WaJo and/or Sam Rice cards in this set, unless, of course, the owner(s) doesn't want to be identified?
