I wonder if my grandfather's saw the movie? They were 8 and 9 when it came out! They loved Ruth!

Wonderful cards, Leon! Actual photo cards of the Babe's first season with the Yanks, and first 50+ (54) homerun season. You make all of us drool over our keyboards.

Tangential to this thread is a still from the short Ruth did in 1931 called "Fancy Curves" which my inner fourteen year old acquired for its baseball and babelicious babe content.



Here is the short per YouTube. It's 8+ minutes long, basically hokey but some may find it enjoyable.

...so David does not feel all alone with his tangent of a post. I have my own Babe and Babe-a-licious item...a lobby card from "Headin' Home"...with a cuter "Babe" than the one from the 1931 film!!
