I have an older HP5400c scanner, have had about 3 HP DeskJet printers (for diff computers) and all of them have/are performing beautifully w/ never a bit of trouble.

Default $175

Just wanted to share my new scanner, a Cannon PIXMA MP990 which I got on Amazon for about $175 Dlvd. I think it makes a big difference and if you have an old scanner you really don't notice how bad your scans suck until you get a new one.

Minty---

You should have mentioned the old was a CIS & the new is a CCD as visual proof of the difference in quality.

Never mind---I just did! LOL!

Thank you! Thank you! I got the same scanner on Amazon, based solely on this advice and the scan of the Banks. I am EXTREMELY pleased....
