I scored 15 lots totalling 17 items. Many of these were additions to my Red Sox collection (including a pair of T204s, a pair of T207s one of which was the Cycle Bushelman, a T3, a pair of Collins McCarthys, an Oxford Confectionary, and a '59 F Ted Williams in SGC 96).

Also grabbed the E90-1 Fred Clarke.

One of the interesting scores was 4 of the Autographed Gateway First Day covers. I don't normally collect these, but there was no action on them and the prices were LOW! I got a nice 1982 Wayne Gretzky auto for under $60 all in, a real strong Stan Musial for under $20, a Walt Alston (d. 1984) for under $15, and an Al Kaline for under $13. From what I can tell these are all about 25%-50% of the going prices on these at auction.

Cheers,
Blair

I know the Rockne is $2500. Not sure on the Mays. Got the Mays at a pretty good price. I'm excited about both

blair--i was in the hunt for the payton and gretzky. i didn't know alot about them either but thought they were low (maybe not 25-50% low tho). a guy on ebay just listed a bunch of these yesterday and it seems like people do collect them.

Hey Quan,

Hope you got the Payton!

I saw that one of those Gretzkys sold at Heritage a few years ago for $110. And the lowest price I saw on the Alston was $70 (...I'm real happy to have a nice single-signed item from a deceased HOFer for under $15!!! The other thing about Alston is he went in the HOF in '83 and died in '84. I'm sure he signed a fair bit, but probably not the easiest of the easy HOFers.)

Cheers,
Blair

You got me on the Cycle Bush Blair. My time is coming on that one I think .

I managed 4 wins, 2 of which were prewar. T-204 Lindaman and this DS Grove which I probably overpaid but oh so nice for a mid grade that I have been looking to add for some time. Nice auction Brian.

Yessir, there is a Bushelman in your future, I think .

Interesting about the DS Grove - I think you did really well. I just picked mine up in the last Mile High, and I paid $571 for a PSA 5...except yours looks every bit as good for $220 less .

Cheers,
Blair

Default Bid on 7 won 5

I picked up a nice e102 of Zimmerman and four T206s for my run at the monster. Two Hall-of-Famers, a common and a good looking Southern Leaguer.

Paid yesterday and Brian sent me a shipped notice today. Bought a couple of cards at the Goodwin show last week. I expect it will be a few more weeks before I see them. Can't beat the Sterling service!

Default Sterling winnings

Just got my sterlings winnings in the mail this afternoon, now that`s service. Think i over payed a bit, maybe after seeing that 12 card E 107 ebay lot last week, but still happy to add another 107 to the collection. My 1`st dealing with Brian and his auctions and judging by the entire process definetly not my last.
