June 19th. We are both Upper East Side boys. He was born on 93rd Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues; I was born at New York Hospital [York Avenue from East 68th to East 71st Streets].

For me, just missing April Fool's Day means I share a birthday with HOFers Hugh Jennings, Luke Appling and Don Sutton. Also, Reggie Smith and Billy Pierce. Sutton & Smith were born the same year. Doug
