Ted Williams auto?

Upper deck used to sell specially autographed stuff through retail places. There was a shop in the local mall that carried some of it for a while. I'm not sure if it was a generic replica jersey place or the Red Sox store. Both were in about the same place at different times.

The UD stuff was usually pretty nice, but also expensive. Some of it was made specially for the retail stores.

I'd feel pretty comfortable with one of those pieces.

is it always the case a williams sig should have a closed d by "ted"...or is there an exception? this ball is being an auctioned by a major auction house and they have many other autos i'm interested in. if this is bad i might just refrain from the whole thing (since they go by their own authentication).

This is a ball I have, the signature does have the closed "D". Maybe others will chime in.

The "d" in Ted or the "a" in Williams is not always closed.

That is just a myth.

i would not take the chance of an open d or a. . If it is a myth I would love to see five or six open a or d balls authenticated by Spence or Psa.
