Congratulations!!! It took me 10 years to get my first 1952 Topps Mantle and it's a great feeling for sure. Great card!

I was going to say, a 52 Topps Mantle pickup is probably deserving of its own thread!

I was talking to me brother to see if we could pony up the $ to buy that card but we fell short, i'm very jealous, a nice 1 imo

If you find the answer to that question, please let me know. I went from dreaming of owning a 1952 Topps Mantle for over 10 years to currently owning my 6th one in the past 3 years. I imagine it's like the postwar card collector's equivalent to owning a T206 Honus Wagner. You can upgrade it, you can downgrade it, but you can't really top it. Kinda like being stuck in quicksand. You can go up and down, but you are still stuck in the same place.

Yes, congrat's on the Mantle!

Picked the Robinson PS up from a board member (still trying to figure out how to fit it in my J Robinson display case) and the Ripken RC was an upgrade.
