Just another indication of his popularity with the public. He is a ball player, not an actor, no stage act and yet he is paid the highest sum ever for any individual stage act including the biggest show business stars in that time.

He has no act, just stand on stage and be Babe Ruth. His first appearance on the West coast he is a hit, comes on stage and they stand and cheer for 5 minutes.

After one show, "he is arrested and booked," released after posting bond for violating the Child Labor Law.

Hi-
I just acquired this snapshot at the Wilmington MA card show along with some really cool Cobb snapshots. It has 27 written on the back (along with scrapbook residue). I am amazed at what everyone has posted thus far!

Here's the most beautiful signed Babe Ruth 3 x 5 that I've ever seen. This was in the personal collection of Bill Mastro until it went up for auction about a year ago. Say what you will about Mastro, but this guy collected nothing but the best...

It's a blazer!!!

Here is my lone George Grantham Bain photo of the Bambino and next to him is the man the discovered him, Jack Dunn. Picked this one up from Scott Gaynor about ten years ago.

Top - 1938 Babe and Gabby Hartnett at Wrigley (Burke)
Mid - 1938 Babe and his agent(?) Zeltner in Wrigley dugout (Burke)
Bottom - 1931 Barnstorming Babe Ruth's Universal Stars at Borchert Field in Milwaukee - American Association Brewers (snapshot)

Who are the two players in the dugout in the same dark uniform as Babe?
