I had 2 of those trays, but not with Joey's Stables. I sold 1 on Ebay earlier this year. Joey's Stables was a restaurant/Bar on Jefferson Ave. in Detroit. Like many nice restaurants in Detroit unfortunately closed, just like Victor Lim's, The Brass Rail, Ponchartrain Wine Cellar where Cold Duck was invented and the list goes on and on. Those were the good old days!

And Mike, it looks like you might have a couple of items in your collection that I sold on EBAY.

Joe

Good question Carlton. Adam and I wondered if perhaps a liqour distributor worked out a deal with the Tigers to offer these to customers in the Detroit metro area.

Matt. The deal was mostly cash, but also included a nice book and a pinback.

Joe. Thanks for the insights regarding Joey's. Adam had some background info as well. I love the advertising on this example. Your tray is PERFECT. It is highly likely I've purchased from you. What in particular do you recognize?

Hi Mike, 3 things I recognize are the Chalk- like Tiger from the 60's I think, the metal Tiger doorstop, like the ones on the Tiger seats. And the the Double header box with the baseballs.

Joe

Joe...The most likely is the chalkware Tiger as it is exceedingly rare. It was a BIN on ebey three years ago or so. The box is common and I've had it at least 10 years. Not sure on the doorstop. Since we cant be sure...why dont you sell me a high end Tigers piece so we can be?

What is your ebay handle?

Mike,

Phenomenal pickup! I recall you discussing that piece at our gathering. Looking forward to seeing it in person, hopefully in the Spring! Happy holidays to you and your family! Good luck knocking off another piece off your wantlist soon!

Best,

Andy

Default Mike's room

Mike,
That's one hell of a room! I really like the way that you have it all displayed.
