Default Finished t200

Finally finished the t200 set with the addition of the elusive Boston Nationals.

A couple cards away from e95 and e96. About 150 commons away from t206.

Hoping for a successful 2012.

Danny

I finished the Topps 1960 tattoos and 1964 tatoos this year. I'm hoping to complete my 1951 red back panels set, and the 1961 and 1962 stamp panel sets in 2012. I think the 1956 pins, and the 1968 stickers are also within reach.

Also, hoping to get closer to completion of the M128 Police Gazette supplements set, and maybe finish the M101-2 TSN supplements set. If I get lucky, I'll find another m101-8 for that set. Adding some 1958 Dodgers scored programs / scorecards would be nice, along with any other cool scorecards that pop up.

There are still 15 Tip Top Weekly issues with baseball covers that I know I'm missing, and that doesn't include any that I find among the 192 covers that are still unknown (to me).

And of course there is the never ending quest for the m113 & m114 baseball magazine supplements.

And, and, and...

Doug

Not that many care for this fugly set... 1912 W-unc, which I believe is complete. That is, unless there truly is a Tommy Leach out there.

Kind of like a CB Carrigan, Steve? funny no one has claimed the reward fee.

Default In 2011...

In 2011 I finally completed my 1941 Goudey Master set. All 33 cards in all 4 colors. I also reached 500/524 on the T206 set in PSA 3+.

In 2012 I would like to get to pick up one new T206 card per month and reach 512/524. This should be only limited by my financial willingness to spend. I also had enough extra 1941 Goudeys that a second master set is only a dozen cards away. This will be much, much tougher to get done in 2012. I'd also like to put together T205 and T207 Brooklyn sets but fear a couple of the cards will have to wait.

Default 2011 and 2012

In 2011 I finished the 1961 Topps BB set that my dad and I started several years ago - and he's still around to see it to completion. I also finished a 1970T FB set.

For 2012, I'd like to finish the 1975T FB set I'm working on (no toughies here, just haven't done it yet), continue working on my 1978T BB autographed set, and collect as many pre-war 'Jordan' cards as I can - four down, ?? to go.

Well done on the Goudey master!

Best of luck for 2012! On the plus side, the T207 Brooklyn subset is by no means one of the hardest team sets - except for one or two semi-tough Recruits, they're straightforward. They've all been on eBay this month - most of the 12 still are.

Started collecting T206 Cleveland cards in November, got 8 of 25 cards so far--all at extremely reasonable prices thanks to a couple of great guys on the B/S/T. Hope to get all the commons in 2012, and maybe a Young or Lajoie.

I started the T206 set this year. I have 311 59% 4+ so far. Hoping to have 80% by end of the year.

Default I will never stop...

...chasing every known (and unknown) signed T206 card in existence.

Since this chase now has long droughts, I have just started picking up colorful strip cards. I got inspired -- isn't it great when that happens!? -- at a card show when a dealer sold me over 30 strip cards in a group for $112, including a Ruth and a Cobb.

Default a little more focus in 2012 and beyond...

I'm pretty sure I can find a '38 Goudey Dimaggio #250 in VG condition this coming year to complete my set, and I need 5 to finish my e95 set. I only need about 8 to finish my '41 Play Ball set, but I've lost interest in that set for now.....and maybe forever?

I'm going to focus more on two specific 'tough' sets in the coming years..... e100 and t222. I know, you don't have to tell me.....I have plenty of patience and seem to have pretty good luck. I'll need them both.

Otherwise, I'm going to continue 'thinning out the herd' in both cards and memorabilia and focus more on quality instead of quantity.

Maybe I'm having somewhat of a mid-life crisis in baseball collectibles, but some of the 'stuff' I used to love is just boring to me now.

Matt
