| Two grand?

Thoughts? Two grand with significant writing on the reverse, a bit excessive? http://www.ebay.com/itm/T206-John-Ti...ht_1679wt_1349 |

I know very little about T206s but it does say, "advanced collectors value period writing" -could be as simple as that

They graded it a 1.5; I think that's consistent with their grading policy.

I think it's a pretty sweet combo. Grading is consistent, even with that amount writing on the reverse.

I have a few from the same collector with similar grade. Must be someone going after a moustache back run.

I guess T206's will become the first known cards with stats now huh Joking aside it's a neat card and it looks to have a "printers mark" on the top center of the port.? |

| Bucking the trend

[QUOTE=iwantitiwinit;961654]Thoughts? I agree, that does look like Buck's writing...I have a Dooin with the same writing and was once told it looked like Barker's writing. The good news is the one broadleaf example I have is a Titus also...mine does not have the same eye appeal but I paid about $25 for it about 20 years ago! Joshua |

| St. L?

Does anyone know what the "St L N. 1918-20" is referring to? He was sold to Kansas City in 1914 and played for them through 1915 when his career ended... http://www.baseball-reference.com/mi...oh&mobile=true |

Period writing has to be at least 10 years after issuance since those later stats are included. Looks like a ball point pen also.

I think SGC told me writing on card = SGC 10 when I submitted this one :-( Should I ask for a redo.
