The handwriting absolutely kills it for me. I would look at that more than the pennant itself. Plus, someone obviously tried to erase it at some point (unsuccessfully). You can see the white areas under the ink.
As for the value... I guess beauty is on the eye of the beholder. It's been on ebay for an eternity, and hasn't sold for $349. This seller typically exhibits some (but not a lot of) flexibilty... so he probably won't dip below $300. Without the alteration, it's a $400 - $500 pennant, but I imagine he'll be sitting on it for quite a while longer. Just my 2 cents... Last edited by perezfan; 01-30-2012 at 11:22 AM. |
