End result - The customer service rep was looking for a loop hole to help us and he found it. We purchased it as a floor model, which they took or word to be true (and it is), the glass would have been out thru inordinate use?
This equates to h/p sending us a free printer, to our home free of shipping. We are sending our broke printer directly back with a prepaid label...all at no cost and a 40-minute phone conversation.Ive learned an important lesson today...whenever I have a problem with ebay, an auction house or particular seller Im letting my wife call them and will go get her a shamrock shake from mickey dees!

I have a list of places for her to call for me and I'll throw in an order of fries.

Mike - I worded that bad...my wife told him we broke it. The rep wrote it up as faulty glass and took a return b/c it was within the 90-day warranty. The loop hole was the "floor model"...they were unable to replace just the glass. Yes, we got lucky.
