It does look like the magenta (pink) was moved up. You can see where the masked out color for his right eye is 3/16" to the right and 1/32" up from where it should be.
This leaves his upper right eyelid looking a little more green and his bottom lip a little more gray. I don't think it is an extra layer, but an off registration. I could be wrong, but that is how it appears to me.
