Just found it.
Mc 44 is for Jack McGrath a marketing guy that worked for Louisville Slugger. He designed the bat.

Randall is correct. It is a Willie McCovey (# 44 San Francisco Giants) bat, probably a store model like the others.

I would say the bat case is worth more than all the store bought stuff combined.

The nob of the encased bat has MC44 with 3 below it. That leads me to believe that the bat is a store model 33 inch. Is that correct?
