Take your wife and family! The Farm Museum is fun for kids and the State Art Museum with many of Grandma Moses' works is well done.

Definitely take the family and hit up the Fly Creek Cider Mill as someone said before. That place is great for the family. There's plenty of shopping on the main st in Cooperstown..as long as you like baseball stuff

Another with 13 players who were with the Pittsburgh Pirates during the regular season, but never played a game. There's also one about 27 baseball families, as well as a day-by-day look at the worst team in Pittsburgh Pirates history. This is the Wagner I saw when I visited Cooperstown in February. The famous McNall/Gretzky card.
It was accompanied by a PSA 8 M101-5 Ruth Rookie, PSA 8 Goudey Lajoie, PSA 9 T206 Cy Young and others. It was my second visit. Had a great time. |

There are two breweries in the area that give tours and samples. Love me some samples. Cooperstown Brewery (I think) and Brewery Ommegang. The cider mill has a tour as well. There is also a winery close by.
The Farmees Museum right in town is a pretty nice family excursion. Definately go out on the lake...they have tour boats. Only takes about an hour or a bit more but it is beautiful. Grab a lunch and picnic on the grass in the park at the foot of the lake two blocks from the museum. I sound like a tour guide!! But I do love that place so. Tom C |

Great info here.
I'm posting so that I'll have this thread in my records when I want it. My wife goes to a nearby karate camp for weekends once or twice annually, and she's always bugging me to drive her up. Maybe next time I will. Thanks. Doug |

Kind of off topic.....
Regards to that Gretzky Wagner, if it wasn't trimmed it looks better than a 8 to me. Close to a 9 if not a 10 but just my opinion. |
