When I was in college, back around 1978, I was an English class with Bill Veeck's daughter. When I raised a question about those shorts, she said that the players said that they were comfortable. Of course, even if they were comfortable, they still could have, and should have, hated them.

Many of these '71 Topps Basketball cards were taken with the player's jersey on backwards. Looks like TOPPS didn't want to spend the dough on the licensing fees... AGAIN!
