Default Buck Barker correspondence....5/1/1957

Since a few folks enjoyed the Burdick letter here is another from a hobby legend, Buck Barker. Shown before but not for a while.. Enjoy....

Leon,

Have you identified to which Fred this was addressed?

In all the various hobbies I've had my hand in, there's really nothing like seeing correspondence between the pioneers. There's something pure about it.

Wow...a two-tone ribbon from 1957 that could type in either red or black. Very state of the art.

Default Guys

I am sorry I don't have any more info on this single sheet.....I think I have a few other old hobby items I might post but have to check into it. For me, the earlier hobby instances the better.

Default "Buck" Barker would devour Net54 forums

From minimal personal contact and lots of distant observations, it is clear that Charles "Buck" Barker was a prolific collector/writer who would fit in just fine here at Net54. He was a collector's collector, fan and historian. That I did not make an effort to speak at length with him at the 1982 National is a great regret.
