I was in Greenville a couple of days ago & stopped by the Joe Jackson museum. It was closed but I snooped around a bit. Note the sidewalk that leads to the back of the house. Footsteps with baseball spikes lead up to a bench, where they seem to pause. Then the footprints continue on in stocking feet. Nice touch.
The base of the statue, a few blocks away, is built of bricks from old Comiskey Park. |

Good stuff and nice shots. It is a shame it was closed when you went by.
Take care, Bob |

Wouldn't Shoeless Joe's footprints be of socks, not spikes? Just saying...
Edited to say - and I just read the OP more slowly. Oops. Last edited by Matt; 05-14-2010 at 06:36 AM. |

I was in Greenville back in '96. I had a friend there and I went up to visit and to go see KISS in Columbia, SC
. Anyway, we visited Joes gravesite. I want to go back to the museum. My friends mother still lives there in Greenville so I may go up soon (my friend, her son, passed away in car wreck in Nov. '97...RIP)
