Default My M131 Baltimore Newsboy Series find

I picked-up 9 of these cards at the National earlier this month. As you can probably guess they cost me a pretty penny. The elderly gentleman knew what he had and was a tough negotiator. I had them all graded by SGC at the show and the grades came out specifically as follows:

Jimmy Austin, SGC 30
Terry Turner, SGC 30
Tris Speaker, SGC 10 (small pin hole)
Johnny Evers, SGC 10
Johnny Evers, SGC 30
Mickey Doolin, SGC 30
Mickey Doolin, SGC 30
Tommy Leach, SGC 10
Tommy Leach, SGC 20

I wish there weren't as many doubles but you take what you can get when you find M131s, I guess. They are all very rare, but the Evers is particular rare. PSA has only graded 18 cards from the entire set!

Anyway, I'm considering selling the lower graded doubles. Specifically, one of the Doolin SGC 30 cards, the Evers SGC 10 (looks like the SGC 30 but has a paper loss on back) and the Leach SGC 20. Because of what I spent on these I would not considering selling any of these for less than ~$1k each and I suspect at auction some could bring significantly more because of the scarcity. That said, if you have interest in making an offer in that range or better you can email me at gosoxbosox@comcast.net. I would only take checks or money orders for these. I want to give it at least a week or two to let people give offers before I award the three cards (assuming they sell) to the high bidder(s). I will listen to offers on the other 6 cards to see if anyone blows me away but I'm not inclined to sell them at this time. If you make an offer with me I will let you know if you are outbid by emailing you. I will not return emails from anyone who lowballs the ~$1k figure I gave.

Thanks for looking and considering. Tom Papa

Nice cards Tom. Interesting that they slabbed them as M131 as they slabbed mine as an e94.

Good luck with the sale!

Default M131

Hi Steve,

e94 look the same as M131s. Is the back of your a Baltimore News? If so, get the flip changed!
